Grede Sale to Finance Group Gets Court
Clearance
Grede Foundries’ agreement to sell six of its operating plants to
an affiliate of Wayzata Investment Partners L.L.C. of Minnesota has been
approved by the U.S. Bankruptcy Court overseeing its reorganization.
The plants involved are in Wauwatosa and Reedsburg, WI; St. Cloud, MN;
Wichita, KS; New Castle, IN; and Iron Mountain/Kingsford, KS.

Hayes Lemmerz Exits Bankruptcy
Tier One automotive supplier Hayes Lemmerz International Inc.
reports that it has emerged from its Chapter 11 bankruptcy
reorganization an effort that it initiated in May following
negotiation with its lenders and creditors. The producer of aluminum
and steel wheels for passenger cars and light trucks, and of steel
wheels for commercial trucks and trailers, said its creditors
“overwhelmingly” endorsed its strategy.
