Registration Underway, Adds New Events
AFS and the North American Die Casting Association have opened
registration for CastExpo'10, which will be held March 20-23, 2010, at
the Orange County Convention Center, Orlando, Fla. Historically,
CastExpo has offered a breadth of technical sessions, as well as
hundreds of suppliers detailing the latest advancements in metalcasting
products.

Massey Energy Developing New Met-Coal
Mine
Massey Energy Co. has begun to develop a new mine in Raleigh County,
WV, that will produce as much as 2 million tons/year of metallurgical
coal by 2011. The company estimated that its capital expenditures for
the mine and associated processing plant and facilities will range from
$100 million to $160 million, beginning this year and continuing through
2012.
