EPA Demands Improvements at Tonawanda
Coke
Following an equipment failure in late March that led to a release
of coke oven gas into the atmosphere, the U.S. Environmental Protection
Agency has ordered Tonawanda Coke Corp. to find and fix deficiencies in
the way that it operates its Western New York merchant coke plant.

CAM Software Helps Cut Machining Time
50%
Using DP Technology’s ESPRIT programming software, Johnson Brass &
Machine Foundry technicians re-programmed the part, substantially
reducing the machining time and, based on a machine rate of $95 per
hour, saving $41,000 to complete the customer’s order.
