Grede to Supply Navistar Engine Components
Grede Holdings LLC will supply engine components to Navistar Inc. for its 2010 MaxxForce 7 V-8 turbodiesel engines, according to a new multi-year contract. The value and length of the contract has not been detailed. Read more

Lufkin to Build New Plant in Romania
Lufkin Industries Inc. plans to construct a new manufacturing facility near Ploiesti, Romania, to produce components for its Oilfield and Power Transmission Divisions, with an initial focus on oilfield products. The project is budgeted at $126 million and will employ more than 300 when completed in 2012. Read more

PBGC Takes Over Grede Foundries Inc. Pensions
The underfunded pension plan relinquished by the former Grede Foundries Inc. organization and covering 4,800 former workers has been assumed by Pension Benefit Guaranty Corp. The Milwaukee-based ferrous foundry group declared bankruptcy in June 2009, and its assets were acquired by a new company, Grede Holdings LLC, in January 2010. Read more
