A large-scale steel-ball burnishing design advances vibratory finishing designs.
HR-100-LR Spiratron vibratory finishing machine

The HR-100-LR Spiratron vibratory finishing machine combines proven structural design methods, for uninterrupted production, and the triple-drive system, for long service life.

In a down economy the best defense is to be innovative and forward thinking, and now Hammond Roto-Finish has manufactured a 100-ft3 steel ball burnishing machine. The HR-100-LR Spiratron is a vibratory finishing machine like none built before it. A customer- and process-specific requirement dictated that the machine have a large capacity range. The design blends older structural methods and incorporates the triple-drive system proven by past Hammond Roto-Finish machines. These features allow for extremely long service life for the drives, and un-interrupted production for the machine operators.

The HR-100-LR Spiratron features:

  • A process channel measuring 23 in. wide 32 in. deep;
  • True spiral incline tube weldment;
  • Batch or in-and-out processing capability.

The design is ideal for foundry operations, for cleaning large parts unsuited to past vibratory burnishing machine designs.
