New HMC expands foundry’s “one-stop shopping” service
US Aluminum Castings reports it has taken delivery of a new Mori Seiki horizontal machining center it expects will expand the range of its value-added services.

USAC, in Entiat, WA, is a business unit of the Philadelphia-based Advanced Metals Group, and manufactures no-bake, permanent mold, lost foam, and green sand castings for aerospace, trucking, defense, and general commercial markets.

In addition to casting aluminum, USAC heat treats, machines, powder coats, inspects (ISO 9001-2000, AS-9100, NADCAP-AS7114 for NDT, NADCAP-AS7102 for heat treating, Boeing D6-82479), and assembles finished components.

The new horizontal machining center was supplied by Mori Seiki, a designer, builder and global distributor of a wide range of machining centers, turning centers, lathes. USAC says the new Mori extends its ability to offer “one-stop shopping for cast parts.”
