UAW employees at Pennsylvania plant approve four-year pact

Accuride Corp. reports it has reached a new collective bargaining agreement with the International Union, United Aerospace and Agricultural Implement Workers of America in Erie, PA. The UAW affiliate represents about 215 hourly workers at Accuride Wheel aluminum wheel.

The new contract will replace an agreement that’s due to expire in September, and continue through September 2014.

“We are extremely pleased to have amicably reached this new agreement that not only preserves the cost competitiveness of our Erie facility, but also recognizes the strengths and talents of our team members,” stated Leigh Wright, senior vice president of Accuride Wheels.

Accuride Corp. produces commercial vehicle wheels, wheel-end components and assemblies, truck body and chassis parts, seating assemblies and other commercial vehicle components. Among its product lines are Accuride®, Gunite®, Imperial, Bostrom®, Fabco, Brillion, and Highway Original®.
