ArvinMeritor to Keep Light Vehicle Systems Unit ArvinMeritor Inc. has called off plans to sell its Light Vehicle Systems (LVS) business, citing the unavailability of credit financing and overall weakness in the automotive sector. Superior Closing California Wheel Plant The aluminum automotive wheel manufacturer is closing its Van Nuys, CA, plant in order cut operating costs and “more closely align its capacity with sharply lower demand for light vehicles.” Read more |
Wescast Closing Ontario Foundry Wescast Industries Inc. plans to close one of the ductile iron foundries it operates in Wingham, ON, in order to reduce operating costs and to “better align capacity with expected volume levels.” Read more |
