Continuous-duty model has positive-displacement pump
The Model 1020 industrial vacuum is designed for high-volume recovery of up to five tons/hour of foundry sand, steel shot, or similar materials.

VAC-U-MAX updated its Model 1020 continuous-duty industrial vacuum to include a positive displacement pump designed specifically for high-volume recovery of up to five tons/hour of material — such as foundry sand, steel shot, metal powders, sludges, and other similar materials.

The new Model 1020 is offered in 10-horsepower and 15-horsepower versions, and its continuous duty vacuum producer makes this unit capable of meeting the toughest challenge, according to the supplier. It’s also portable enough to be used in most plant locations.

Dimensions for the Model 1020 are approximately 66 in. long × 32 in. wide × 68 in. high.

The Model 1020 comes standard with a secondary cartridge filter, vacuum relief valve, and a 40- gallon container. For metal chips, shot, or sludge, the container has a large-area primary filter cartridge, 137 ft2 surface area. For more difficult powders and granular material, a cloth MultiFilter, PTFE high-efficiency filter media is used, rated 99.9% efficient @ 1 micron, 17 ft2 surface area.

Vac-U-Max manufactures a range of different vacuum cleaning equipment, including air-operated vacuum cleaners, continuous-duty electric vacuums, central vacuum cleaning systems, and electric drum-top vacuum cleaners, and related tools and accessories.
