New cylinder casting, machining plant in Saltillo
Gemco Cast Metal Technology has been named to build a new engine-cylinder liner plant for Grupo Condumex and its subsidiary Camisa S.A., on a turnkey basis, in Saltillo, Mexico. Gemco performed the conceptual engineering work on the project last year.

Condumex bought the Camisa business earlier last year from Dana Corp., and then decided to continue liner casting and machining at a new facility.

Gemco is a global engineering group that specializes in metalcasting operation. Along with its subsidiary Gemco Foundry Technology de Mexico S.A. it has carried out a number of important engineering and contracting projects for foundries and machine shops in Mexico.
