Automotive-components giant Hayes Lemmerz International has arranged a long-term agreement with Hendrickson Trailer Suspension Systems to supply it with ductile-iron hubs and CentruCast brake drums for HN and HP trailers. The agreement also covers future development of wheel-end components for "on highway" vehicles.

The agreement is between Hayes Lemmerz' Commercial Highway & Aftermarket Group and Hendrickson. Specific details of the agreement were not supplied.

In addition, Hayes will expand its supply of its CentriFuse brake drums and Centrulite hubs to Hendrickson Trailer Suspension Systems for lightweight applications.

Hayes Lemmerz says the agreement is one element of its goal of forming partnerships with Tier 1 manufacturers, to supply "high-quality, lightweight wheel-end systems" for highway vehicles.
