The Dayton Daily News reports that Ross Aluminum Foundries, Sidney, OH, will be relocating and expanding a part of its passenger-car impeller casting operations to a new location in Piqua, OH. By April, it plans to have 60-80 people working in two shifts at an industrial site it is leasing.

The aluminum casting company employs 450 at two plants in Sidney, where it produces castings for various automotive, aerospace, industrial, and military applications. Only a 35-40 of those workers will be resituated at the Piqua operation. The rest would be new employees.

Wayne Thompson, manager of Ross Aluminum's impeller division, told the paper, "There was just no available lease space in Sidney, and we needed it fairly quick."
