Hormel taps LeClaire Mfg. account manager
Hormel Foods Corp. has recruited David Parker to its GMBOND Sand Binder product line as sales and marketing manager. GMBOND is a protein-based binder that Hormel indicates “provides advanced thermal degradation and is non-toxic.” It is water-soluble, so there’s no requirement for bake out or mechanical hammering, and it can be reground and reused so the costs for reclamation, disposal, and landfilling are “dramatically reduced,” according to the company.

Parker has been a regional account manager at LeClaire Manufacturing in Bettendorf, IA. Previously, he was with HA Intl. and Borden Chemical for more than 10 years as a senior account manager, where he developed sales and marketing strategies. than a decade at HA International/Borden Chemical developing sales and marketing strategies as a senior account manager. "David adds valuable industry experience and knowledge to our team," said Paul Jacobson, director, Hormel Specialty Products Div. "His technical skills and proven sales record will be of great benefit to Hormel. David will help us market the GMBOND Sand Binder to our target audience."
