ISO Certification for Ashland Unit

Technical Service Group performs product trials, defect analysis, more
Ashland Casting Solutions’ Technical Service Group recently earned ISO-9000 certification for its global technical services. Ashland Casting Solutions is the business group of Ashland Specialty Chemical Co. that supplies products, processes, and technologies to metalcasters worldwide. It sought ISO certifications “in order to ensure consistent and thorough technical support for its global customer base,” the group said.

Among the services encompassed by the ISO certification are product trials, process reviews, casting-defect analysis, formal customer training, informal customer training, customer equipment evaluation, and customer sand laboratory evaluation.

“This certification is unique among service groups in the casting industry and is another tool for providing customers around the globe with effective issue resolutions as efficiently as possible,” said Greg MacIver, global marketing director, Ashland Casting Solutions. “We’re really pleased with the exceptional efforts our service group made to add this qualification to our service product offering,” he added.
