Metaullics Systems Co. L.P. is introducing a new aluminum melt-treatment system. The STAR (square-tipped aluminum refiner) rotary degasser can be supplied as a stationary wall-mounted unit with a power lift, or on a mobile cart.

The working components include Metaullics’ patented, threadless Shur-Lok coupling, the STAR rotor, and proprietary oxidation-resistant graphite shaft. All of these, the supplier indicates, enhance performance, shorten treatment times, and extend component life.
