German Foundry to Stay Open

Georg Fischer will sell Bitterfield to HAL
European press reports indicated Georg Fischer will sell not close its Bitterfiled, Germany aluminum foundry, but rather will sell it to German firm HAL Aluminiumguss Leipzig GmbH. HAL will continue to operate the foundry, though at a reduced level. The sale will be effective on July 1.

Georg Fischer is a diversified engineering group based in Switzerland.
