Bloomington, MN, September 14
The North American Die Casting Assn. reports it is accepting registrations for its "Designing for Die Casting" seminar. The one-day program is designed for OEM designers, specifiers, quality-control officers, and engineers, to help them to optimize their designs using the most advanced technology.

NADCA offers the program on a regional basis. The upcoming presentation will be held at the Marriott Courtyard hotel in Bloomington, MN, September 14.

According to Leo Baran, NADCA’s director of membership and marketing, "The diecasting industry realizes that the typical OEM employee does not always have immediate access to critical design information regarding the process. That is where this seminar comes in.

"Attending a seminar is the best way for busy individuals to learn about the die casting process and walk away with information useable in their designs. The newly revised format will also allow for the attendee to learn and participate even easier," says Baran.

NADCA's North American corporate members help to underwrite the cost of the seminar in order to encourage OEMs to attend, and to reemphasize the value of a collaborative supplier-manufacturer relationship. Attendees at the seminar will appreciate the accessibility of the North American diecasting industry, Baran stresses. "Working with casting suppliers who are close to home facilitates a flexible manufacturing strategy, on-time part delivery and a faster product development cycle."

Since the seminar program was introduced, over 5,300 OEM employees and designers have attended one of these seminars. Registration information is offered at www.diecasting.org, or directly from NADCA at Tel. 847-292-4913.
