10-day strike ends; no disruption in shipments
Union workers at Wescast Industries Inc.’s machining plant in Strathroy, ON, ended their strike after approving a new three-year labor contract. It was the third contract the automotive exhaust-manifold manufacturer completed this year.

In August, employees at Wescast's Wingham, ON, plant staged staged a four-day strike.

The strike at the Strathroy plant lasted 10 days, but there were no disruptions in the company’s shipments.

Details of the new contract have not been reported.
