Wescast Industries Inc. announced a name change of its manufacturing operation in Hungary, from Weslin Hungary Autoipari Rt. to Wescast Hungary Autoipari Rt. Colloquially, it will be referred to as "Wescast Hungary."

Wescast Hungary as launched in 1999 as a joint venture of Wescast and Linamar Corp. to design, sell, and manufacture exhaust manifolds, turbo charger housings, and integrated turbo manifolds for the European light-vehicle manufactuers. Last summer, Wescast acquired Linamar’s stake in a move it described as part of its expansion strategy inn Europe.

Wescast now owns 100% ownership of Wescast Hungary.

Wescast is the world's largest supplier of exhaust manifolds for passenger cars and light trucks.
