Pumps in use on two Saginaw production lines, with plans for a third
CMI Novacast Inc., Elk Grove, IL, reports it has been contract to supply equipment to GM Powertrain’s Saginaw Metal Castings Operation, in Saginaw, MI.

CMI Novacast’s PG-450 pump is being used on two production lines. Plans are underway to install the system on a third process line, too.

The computer-controlled, non-turbulent pumps have no moving parts. GM is using the pumps for precision filling of sand molds in its production of aluminum V8 engine blocks.
