Also, expands inductor-coil build/repair capabilities
Inductoheat Inc., Madison Heights, MI, has appointed Randy Minnick as vice president of engineering. Minnick has been involved in design and development of induction-heating applications and equipment for steel and component manufacturing for over 10 years. He holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Saginaw Valley State University, and is a member of ASM.

Also, Inductoheat has expanded its inductor-coil build-and-repair department in Madison Heights. With a state-of-the-art machine shop together with its inductor design, build and repair area, the department has a staff of 10 dedicated to assembling and brazing inductor coils. Three more staffers build balance modules, current transformers, chokes, balance coils, commutation coils, toroid coils, and litz wire transformers. And, a further 20 people are responsible for machining, designing, and developing new inductors.

The inductor core department expansion is a result of customers’ increasing demand for longer coil life and less downtime, Inductoheat says. Inductoheat is an Inductotherm Group company that manufactures induction-heating equipment and offering full-service parts, coils, and repairs.
