Sensus Precision Die Casting in Russellville, KY, has formed a joint venture with China’s Yangzhou Runlin Investment Co. Ltd., to acquire Yangzhou Rongtai Industrial Development Co., Ltd., in the city of Yangzhou. Sensus- Rongtai Precision Die Casting (Yangzhou) Co. Ltd., as the operation will be called, supplies aluminum diecastings for Chinese automobile and motorcycle manufacturers.

Sensus PDC produces complex, high-quality diecastings for North American automotive and gas-utility distribution markets. It is a business unit of Sensus Metering Systems, which produces high-value metering and automatic meter reading (AMR) equipment for water, gas, electric, and heat utilities, as well as sub-metering entities, worldwide.

Dan Harness, Sensus Metering Systems president and CEO, called the joint-venture “a significant step forward for our diecasting business (that) allows us to pursue the fast growing Chinese automotive market and other opportunities in China and on a worldwide basis.”
