Aluminum Permanent Mold Chainlock brings inventory of pattern plates

Palmer Engineered Products, which produces and distributes foundry consumables, has acquired the Aluminum Permanent Mold Chainlock division from Canada’s H.D. Patterns and Matchplates. No purchase price was announced. The purchase includes the division’s pattern plate inventory, equipment, and tooling.

Based in Springfield, OH, Palmer Engineered Products is a sister organization to Palmer Manufacturing & Supply, a leading supplier of heavy-duty no-bake molding equipment, providing products for Hunter, Beardsley & Piper, Roberts Sinto, and Osborne molding machines. The company claims it stocks over 13,000 aluminum plates in various sizes, including chainlock pattern mounting plates, aluminum bottom boards, specialty sawn boards, and fully machines boards.

Of the new acquisition, company president Jack Palmer said, "We believe that this acquisition now makes Palmer the largest in-stock supplier of pattern plates to the foundry industry. Providing JIT shipments to our customers is a priority and we are pleased to offer the industry’s largest industry."
