METEF 2006, the international exhibition dedicated to plants, machines, and technologies in the aluminum industry, will take place May 17-20, 2006 at the Garda da Fair Centre in Montichiari, Brescia in Italy. Preparations continue for the event.

The second international conference of the Extruders Division of the European Aluminum Association will be held during METEF, May 17-18. This portion highlights machinery, equipment, products, and applications in aluminum. Presentations and papers will be presented on topics such as innovation in processes, product developments, and industry challenges.

Foundeq (www.foundeq.com) will address the future of diecasting and associated machinery during a forum on diecasting plant engineering, on May 18. Another meeting, entitled "Success in foundry: case histories and reasons" will focus on a number of strategic topics for the foundry industry.
