Whitman Castings Inc., Whitman, MA, reports it has acquired DVC Corp., Pawtucket, RI.

Whitman Castings produces ferrous and nonferrous castings, and now also performs machining operations. The acquisition means Whitman can offer finished, machined castings to its customers.

In a separate step, Whitman has named George Brown as its new director of Business Development.
