Focusing all resources on aluminum wheels

Superior Industries International Inc., a leading manufacturer of aluminum wheels, has decided to sell its suspension components business. The California-based company said its directors had authorized the management to engage an investment banker to explore opitions for disposing of the division.

"Today's intense competition in the global automotive industry makes it imperative that Superior focuses all of its resources on its expanding aluminum wheel business," said Superior Industries CEO Steven Borick.

Borick added that all components orders would continue to be delivered as scheduled.

Superior supplies aluminum wheels and other aluminum automotive components to Ford, General Motors, DaimlerChrysler, Audi, BMW, Isuzu, Jaguar, Land Rover, Mazda, MG Rover, Mitsubishi, Nissan, Subaru, Toyota, and Volkswagen.
