Recently, Ajax TOCCO Magnethermic acquired the current assets of Lectrotherm, Canton, OH. Lectrotherm is a well-known supplier of aftermarket repair and replacement services and equipment for melting furnaces and electromagnetic stirring systems. Recently, Lectrotherm has expanded to provide capital equipment “to non-traditional induction markets.”

Also, Ajax TOCCO Magnethermic purchased the assets of Premelt Systems, also of Canton, a supplier of designs and services for integrated metal scrap cleaning and processing systems worldwide. Premelt is especially focused on the aluminum-wheel manufacturing segment.

Finally, Foundry Services in Hemer, Germany has merged its operation with Ajax TOCCO Magnethermic GmbH. Foundry Services is a noted supplier of melting-furnace repair services in continental Europe. It will continue to operate in its present location in Hemer, and expand into an existing Ajax TOCCO service center in Sinsheim, Germany.
