August 17, 2006 -- Cinfunsa, Saltillo, Mexico, has added Arena-flow software to its production processes.

Arena-flow is available from Ashland Casting Solutions. It is a process modeling software specifically developed for metalcasting by by Arena-flow L.L.C., in conjunction with General Motors, NASA, the U.S. Dept. of Energy, and Ashland Casting Solutions.

“The revolutionary technology used in Arena-flow will help Cifunsa design their tooling ‘right the first time’ and optimize their core production process,” states Mike Swartzlander, general manager, Ashland Casting Solutions, and vice president, Ashland Specialty Chemical.

ACS Design Center project manager Nigel Yeomans explainse that Cinfunsa has acquired a perpetual license for Arena-flow software. “In addition to this license, Ashland Casting Solutions consultants will be working closely with Cinfunsa by providing technical support for the software and helping them to optimize their production methods,” Yeomans said.
