Signifies "growing relationships" with customers

March 2, 2007 — Intermet Corp. reports it has entered into new supply contracts for high-pressure diecast products with Siemens and Toyo, as well as several other unnamed new customers. Fort Worth-based Intermet manufactures cast-metal components for automotive, commercial vehicle, and industrial producers.

The parts will be manufactured at Intermet's aluminum diecast operation in Minneapolis and Jackson, TN. No further details about the products nor schedules for the programs was announced.

Accoding to Intermet's Die Casting Group president Todd Heavin, the group's "growing relationships with our existing customers demonstrates our continued high quality and cost competitiveness. In addition, our success in landing new strategic customers demonstrates that Intermet's diversification initiative is showing positive results. We are pleased that each of these customers have recognized the value we are creating."
