Cleaning equipment builder will maintain global presence

April 13, 2007 — Goff Inc., a manufacturer of various abrasive cleaning systems, has been acquired from the DISA Group by the local management. Keith Yerby, the division's managing director, purchased the company from the Danish conglomerate, which had maintained it for over 15 years.

It's the second sale of a subsidiary by DISA this year. In January, it sold DISA Serf, a supplier of fettling and finishing equipment for ferrous and light-metal castings, to Senator Technology GmbH.

The Goff organization has been in business since 1977, first headquartered in Oklahoma City and now centered in Seminole, OK. It manufactures airless abrasive cleaning equipment in various formats: tables, wire mesh, spinner hangers, pass-throughs, batch tumblers, and aquatic washing systems. It also supplies portable shot blast equipment to clean and prep surfaces — e.g., highways, bridges, runways, and decks.

Most Goff products are standard designs from an extensive portfolio, but it also offers customized systems. In addition to foundries and diecasters, Goff's customers include military facilities, heavy equipment manufacturers, prosthetic joint manufacturers, aircraft component manufactures, oil-field service industries, automotive manufactures and their suppliers, and various types of re-manufacturers.

Yerby joined Goff in February 1991, and has gained understanding of the shot-blasting through several managerial positions over the past 16 years.

“We concentrate on NAFTA, but Goff’s market will continue to be worldwide," Yerby assures.
