Steven Borick becomes chairman of wheel producer

May 24, 2007 — Superior Industries International has named president and chief executive officer Steven Borick to the additional post of chairman. Louis Borick, formerly the chairman, now assumes the non-executive position of founding chairman, and will continue as a director and senior adviser to the board of directors.

Superior, based in Van Nuys, CA, was founded by Louis Borick in 1957. The group produces cast aluminum wheels for most of the world's major automakers, including Audi, BMW, DaimlerChrysler, Fiat, Ford, General Motors, Isuzu, Jaguar, Land Rover, Mazda, Mitsubishi, Nissan, Seat, Skoda, Subaru, Suzuki, Toyota, and Volkswagen.

Steven Borick became president and chief operating officer of Superior in 2003, and CEO in 2005. He had been the group's executive vice president from 2000 to 2002, and has been a director since 1981.

"Steven Borick has amply demonstrated his management capabilities and long-term strategic vision for Superior," Louis Borick stated. "His dedication to our company has been an inspiration to us all during this period of major changes in the global automotive industry."
