Seven more summer dates for Lockout/Tagout program

May 30, 2007 — The Non-Ferrous Founders’ Society is offering a series of seminars at nine locations nationwide, to train metalcasting industry managers and workers in the principles of controlling hazardous energy, in order to prevent work-related accidents. The program is sponsored by the federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration.

Two presentations of the program have already been offered, in Philadelphia and Hartford, CT. On the calendar for June are presentations in Milwaukee (June 7) and Detroit (June 21.) Two stagings will take place in July (July 12, in Los Angeles; July 19, in St. Louis) and three will be conducted in August (August 2, in Cleveland; August 16, in Atlanta; August 30 in Fort Worth, TX.)

Each attendee will receive a CD-ROM version of the seminar program that includes all training materials (in English and Spanish), as well as a written lockout/tagout-compliance program to help conform to OSHA documentation requirements.

Enrollment in the program is free, and available only online. For more information, contact NFFS's director of Education and Training Jerrod A. Weaver, Tel. 847-299-0950.
