Offers ion nitriding for parts up to 60,000 lb.

Advanced Heat Treat Corp. has opened is fourth service center, in Cullman, AL, to serve manufacturers in the region with its UltraGlow ion nitriding process. AHT also operates centers at two sites in Waterloo, IA, and a third in Monroe, MI.

UltraGlow is a case-hardening method of surface treatment that AHT explains will improve the "performance, wear resistance, strength, and endurance" of engineered steel, titanium and cast iron parts.

The Cullman plant, situated between Birmingham and Huntsville, AL, offers one of the world’s largest vacuum ion nitriding vessels, capable of processing parts weighing up to 60,0000 lb.  This facility will process large-sized tooling/stamping dies, high-volume production parts, and perform prototype and developmental processing.

“We continue to focus on building solid relationships with each of our customers,” stated president and CEO Gary Sharp, “and, we’re looking forward to developing stronger relationships with those customers in the Southeast, as well.”
