A.G. Anderson Ltd. produces patterns, ferrous castings
AmeriCast Technologies reports it has acquired A.G. Anderson Ltd., a London, ON, Canada supplier of patterns, ferrous castings, and machined components. The value of the purchase was not released.
Atchison, KS-based AmeriCast is a portfolio company of Castle Harlan Inc., a New York-based private equity investment firm. AmeriCast has five other operating divisions: Atchison Steel Castings, in Atchison, KS, and St. Joseph, MO; Amite Foundry, in Amite, LA; Atlas Castings & Technology, Tacoma, WA; London Precision Machining, London, ON; and AmeriCast Global Services. Earlier this year AmeriCast sold its Prospect Foundry in Minneapolis to another private-equity group.
AmeriCast’s iron and steel castings, as well as machined components and assemblies, are marketed to process equipment, power generation, hydro, military, mining, ship building, transportation, construction and industrial machinery markets.

There are very clear synergies with Anderson and our existing machining operations at London Precision Machining that will benefit our customers,” said Tom Armstrong, CEO, of AmeriCast.
Armstrong compared the latest purchase to the 2007 purchase of Atlas Castings, saying it “further strengthens and expands AmeriCast’s position as one of North America’s premier value-added, steel casting, and machining suppliers, while diversifying and expanding our marketplace opportunities.”
David Anderson, president of A.G. Anderson Ltd., stated: "There are a lot of synergies between our different business units, and we at Anderson's look forward to building on those and strengthening our position as leading supplier of complex, finished machined castings.”
