Carbon, specialty steel foundry is a Caterpillar supplier
Omaha Steel Castings Co., a Nebraska ferrous foundry has been bought by Phil Teggart for an unreported price. Teggart has also been the general manager of the ferrous foundry for four-and-a-half years.

In business for 102 years, Omaha Steel Castings supplies components for construction, mining, oil and gas, transportation businesses, and indicates it has been a supplier to Caterpillar Inc. for more than 50 years.

In addition to carbon and low-alloy steel castings, Omaha Steel produces products in high-alloy and tool steel and stainless steel grades. Using a five-ton EAF, and green sand and no-bake molding, it’s capable of pouring castings weighing up to 4,000 lb. It also offers heat treating and in-house machining and product testing.
