Magna-Tech to process automotive castings in Charlotte area
Magna-Tech Manufacturing, a producer and processor of a range component parts, is planning a new plant in Lincoln County, NC, to heat-treat automotive castings, according to an announcement by the Lincoln Economic Development Assn.
Magna-Tech has seven locations in the U.S., Canada, and Mexico, and offers vacuum impregnation, rust/corrosion removal, ultrasonic cleaning, among other treatment and sealing services. Lincoln County is in the Charlotte metropolitan area, in the west central part of the state.
The new plant will be housed in a 38,500-ft2 building in an industrial park, and the county has offered incentives for the start-up. It will have 20-25 employees.
Magna-Tech Manufacturing is headquartered in Muncie, IN, was established in 1987 offering vacuum impregnation of castings. Dan Irvin, president, stated: “MagnaTech has been very pleased with the assistance of the Lincoln Economic Development Assn. and the efforts that have made this new MagnaTech facility a reality. We look forward to becoming a part of the community and we are confident that locating in Lincolnton will create new opportunities for all of us.”
