Edbauer to replace Stutz for foundry, diecasting unit
Josef Edbauer will replace Ferdinand Stutz as head of GF Automotive, the auto components subsidiary of Georg Fischer AG. He also will assume a position on the organization’s executive committee.

Stutz had led of Georg Fischer Automotive and represented the subsidiary on the executive committee since 1998. In a statement, the group said Stutz has “decided to continue his career outside Georg Fischer.”

Edbauer has had a 30-year career at Georg Fischer, including leading the iron casting unit since 2005. Starting in 1999, he headed the group’s largest plant, the ductile iron foundry in Singen, Germany. Before then, he held positions in facility planning, maintenance, processing, and logistics.

GF Automotive manufactures iron and light alloy castings and diecastings for chassis, powertrain, and auto body parts, at plants in Austria, Canada, China, Germany, and the U.S.
