Alabama operation supplies chassis components

Accuride Corp., which manufactures commercial vehicle components under a variety of brand names, including Accuride, Gunite, Imperial, Bostrom, Fabco, Brillion, and Highway Original, has sold the assets of its Anniston, AL, plant to North American Bus Industries Inc. No value was announced for the transaction.

NABI is described as the sole customer for products manufactured at that facility. The Anniston plant manufactures bus frames and other components, formerly marketed as Imperial products.

Accuride indicates that its Imperial Group will continue to supply bus chassis and other components to NABI from its Portland, TN, plant.

Recently Accuride announced plans to close its aluminum wheel plant in Cuyahoga Falls, OH, and combine the equipment and operations from there with its Erie, PA, plant.
