Thomas Walker replaces Bruce Jacobs

Directors of Grede Foundries Inc. have appointed Thomas F. Walker, Sr. as the group’s new president and chief executive officer. Walker is succeeding Bruce E. Jacobs, who has been president of Grede for nearly 22 years, and enjoyed a 37-year career with the company.

Walker joins Grede from Walker & Associates, L.L.C., a management advisory firm he headed. He has more than 40 years of operational and financial experience in manufacturing.

Milwaukee-based Grede Foundries was established in 1920, and now operates eight foundries in Greenwood, SC; Iron Mountain and Vassar, MI; Milwaukee and Reedsburg, WI; New Castle, IN; St. Cloud, MN; and Wichita, KS. Its gray and ductile iron castings are marketed to automotive, heavy truck, appliance, and general industrial markets.
