Two execs assigned responsibilities for eight foundries

Grede Foundries Inc. has named two new group vice presidents, John Haas and Randy Priem.  The Milwaukeee-based metalcasting group currently operates eight foundries in Greenwood, SC; Iron Mountain and Vassar, MI; Milwaukee, Reedsburg, and Wauwatosa, WI; New Castle, IN; St. Cloud, MN; and Wichita, KS. Its gray and ductile iron castings are marketed to automotive, heavy truck, appliance, and general industrial markets.

The company has announced plans to close the Greenwood Foundry, and indicates it may offer the Vassar Foundry for sale.

John Haas will continue to oversee operations of Grede’s St. Cloud foundry, and will assume responsibility for the Reedsburg and New Castle foundries.

Randy Priem will continue overseeing Grede’s Iron Mountain foundry, and will take on responsibility for the Liberty foundry in Wauwatosa, WI, the Vassar, Greenwood, and Wichita foundries.
