Lockheed Martin and the U.S. Army Joint Manufacturing and Technology Center (JMTC) signed an agreement providing Lockheed Martin access — via public-private partnerships — to the Army's only vertically integrated metal manufacturing facility and remaining foundry.

Under the agreement, program managers will establish a working relationship to combine best practices of industry and government to support of the warfighter.  Lockheed Martin researches, designs, develops, manufactures, and integrates advanced technology systems, products and services. The JMTC designs, manufactures, tests, and supports a wide range of partnership opportunities.

"This agreement is a logical extension of Lockheed Martin's successful partnerships with the Military Services and the Defense Logistics Agency," said Lockheed Martin's Lou Kratz, v.p. Logistics & Sustainment.  "We look forward to working with the JMTC to further advance industrial integration across government and industry throughout the life cycle to include development, production, and sustainment. We view the agreement as an important step towards combining the best of government with the best of industry, assuring consistent, performance-based outcomes for our warfighters across the entire life cycle."
