Processes, raw material production, and parts procurement meet quality standard

Connnecticut-based Integra-Cast Inc. has earned the Boeing Co.’s D1-4426 rating, certifying that its processes, raw material production, and selected parts procurement standards are performed according to contractually established engineering specifications, drawings, and quality requirements, including AS9100.

ICI, of New Britain, is a vertically integrated manufacturer — investment casting, machining, and assembly — of aerospace and defense products. ICI also boasts NADCAP approvals for heat treating and NDT, and quality approvals for testing, heating treating and machining.

The manufacturer has other quality system approvals from major Tier 1 and Tier 2 aerospace suppliers.

“This is a big step in the growth of our company,” stated ICI president David Arcesi. “For the past several years, ICI has focused on scaling our casting and machining operations and 2009 has been the year to solidify that operational progress with the quality recognition the aerospace and defense market demands.”
