Hunter will represent automated grinding machines in U.S., Canada and Australia

Hunter Automated Machinery Corp. and Maus USA Inc. have completed an agreement whereby Hunter’s sales and service network will represent the Maus product line in the U.S., Canada, and Australia. The agreement was announced by Hunter president Bill Hunter and Maus general manager Roberto Sammartin at CastExpo 2010.

According to Sandra Selwan, marketing manager for Maus SpA, “We see great potential in this agreement, as our machines will now be represented by a name known to foundries worldwide. Coupled with our machine quality and innovative engineering, Maus believes the synergy between our company and Hunter will produce substantial mutual benefit.”

In addition to sales and service representation for Maus automated cleaning machines, Hunter will conduct grinding tests on castings and machine-utilization studies for metalcasters using a Maus SAM series machine at its Schaumburg, IL, headquarters.

Maus USA will continue offering technical assistance, application engineering, and replacement parts support from its technical center in Virginia Beach, VA.

Maus SpA, of Padua, Italy, supplies automated cleaning room grinding and riser cutoff machinery, as well as automated work cells and complete transfer lines for the global foundry market.

Hunter Automated Machinery designs and supplies molding machines for foundries worldwide, and is the originator of automated matchplate molding machinery for green sand foundries. It also offers mold handling machines, core shooters, and green sand plants and machinery, as well as sand testing equipment.
