Deal for Monterrey-based iron caster Tisamatic expected to close in the first half of the year
Revstone Industries LLC aims to add a third Mexican automotive casting producer to its portfolio in the form of Tisamatic S. de. R.L. de C.V, announcing its intent to purchase the unit from Industrias Xignux S.A. de C.V. The deal is expected to be completed by mid-year.

Tisamatic produces high-precision iron castings for the automotive sector, as well as home appliance parts, cast iron connections, and soil pipes. The acquisition of the gray and ductile iron foundry will strengthen Revstone's position in Mexico, it stated.

In late January
, Revstone announced the addition of a magnesium die casting facility in Chihuahua, and a fabrication and stamping facility in San Luis Potosi. "The acquisition of Tisamatic would be a significant addition to the Revstone portfolio of businesses and would further our strategy to offer the broadest range of world class processes and services to our customers," according to president of Revstone Mexico Robert Carney.

Since its founding in 1980, Tisamatic has steadily increased its annual volumes, now producing more than 60,000 metric tons of both vertical molding and soil pipe. The facility in Monterrey houses four Inductotherm electric furnaces, five shot blast machines, six Shalco shell machines, three centrifuge machines, and other related casting equipment.
