Jackson Die Casting starts $4.5-million project

Jackson Die Casting LLC unveiled an expansion program for its Jackson, TN, plant, estimated to cost nearly $4.5 million. “We’re fortunate to have booked significant new business from current and new customers, requiring us to invest significantly in equipment capacity and increase our employment,” Bob Tamburrino, president of Key 3 Casting, explained.

The expansion will be carried out over three years and will result in nearly 60 new jobs, the group indicated.

Key 3 Casting is the holding company for Jackson Die Casting and two other plants, Minneapolis Die Casting, in Minneapolis, and Northern Foundry in Hibbing, MN. The group was formed in 2009.

Jackson Die Casting produces high-pressure aluminum diecastings that weigh up to 20 lb for industrial, aerospace, municipal, and automotive markets. It operates 14 diecasting machines, with secondary operations and some assembly capabilities, too.
