HURON MACHINE TOOLS' KX50 high-performance, five-axis, five-sides milling center is designed for high-speed machining operations on medium-sized workpieces weighing up to six metric tons. Suitable for roughing and finishing work on steel, aluminum, and cast iron. It is equipped with a dual rotary-axis head, 30-tool magazine, and 18,000 rev/min, 20 kW, HSK 63 spindle; it is particularly suited to producing small-to-medium batch, complex parts for aerospace, mold and die, and transport industries. The powerful spindle offers effective removal on roughing cycles, a very high quality on surface finishing, and outstanding contouring accuracy. The universal head with direct drive (torque motors) achieves high speeds of rotation and accurated positioning.
