Metalcasters review cold box and no-bake technologies

Ashland Casting Solutions completed its fall training seminars for nearly 70 attendees, September 24-28, at the company’s headquarters in Dublin, OH

Professionals from the international metalcasting industry reviewed cold-box and no-bake technologies. Foundry managers, superintendents, core-room and mold-line supervisors and operators, and quality-control professionals comprised the audience.

The seminars are designed to help metalcasters improve quality, productivity, cost efficiency, and to help attendees take advantage of the latest improvements in core- and mold-making practices.

“We are pleased to have had nearly 70 people from our industry attend this round of seminars,” said Mike Swartzlander, general manager of Ashland Casting Solutions and vice president with Ashland Specialty Chemicals. “This is an opportunity for Ashland’s highly skilled professionals to provide training at a time when new personnel are entering the industry and to continue to provide solutions to meet our customers’ needs.”
