Todd Heavin leaves forger for metalcasting group
Citation Corp. reports it has named Todd Heavin as its new senior vice president of operations, reporting to the metalcasting group’s chief executive officer, effective immediately. The company indicates that Heavin will replace Gordon Matlock, and will join the executive management team with responsibility for Citation’s 11 manufacturing plants, product quality, and purchasing. According to the company’s statement, Madlock left Citation to pursue other professional opportunities. Heavin joins Citation having been senior vice president and chief operating officer of FormTech Industries L.L.C., a manufacturer of forged steel components for automotive, light-vehicle, heavy-truck, and industrial markets that he joined in 2007. Heavin is the former president of Intermet Corp.'s Die Cast Products Group, and also served that company as vice president of its Ferrous Metals Group and Light Metals Group. Before joining Intermet, he was a manger with Delphi Automotive Systems, United Technologies Automotive, and Inverness Castings Group, a quality engineer at Dynac Corp. He holds a bachelor of arts degree in accounting and finance from Michigan State University. “We are excited Todd has joined Citation’s executive leadership team,” stated Citation CEO Doug Grimm. “His extensive background in operations and lean manufacturing will be a valuable asset to the company as we continue to diversify the company, streamline our operations and increase our manufacturing efficiencies.”
