Richard J. Wylie has been named president of General Aluminum Manufacturing Co., Conneaut, OH, a producer of permanent mold, diecast, sand-cast, and lost-foam castings. Wylie will also join the senior management team for General Aluminum’s parent company, Cleveland-based Park-Ohio Holdings Corp.

Wylie is described as having 20 years of operational and executive experience with foundry group CMI International and its affiliates. He was vice president and chief operation officer for A-CMI Inc., a joint venture of CMI and Alcoa, and he was group vice president of Aluminum and Polymer Operations, the largest operating division of CMI Intl.

More recently, Wylie was president and COO of Hitchcock Industries, manufacturers of aerospace castings, and of its subsidiary Watkins Patter Co.

Edward F. Crawford, chairman and CEO of Park-Ohio, called Wylie “an outstanding addition to Park-Ohio's executive management team."

Said Crawford, "Rick Wylie has a 25-year track record of successfully building value in the aluminum casting industry. We expect his experience will provide an immediate impact on General Aluminum."
