Encompix products customized for ETO manufacturing

September 6, 2006 -- Pattern Equipment & Prototype, Windsor, ON, has ordered Encompix’s ETO ERP (enterprise resource planning) software.

PEP is a division of Tooling & Equipment Intl., which designs, engineers and manufactures tooling, prototype, pre-production, and mass production equipment for metalcasters.

Encompix is a unit of Made2Manage Systems. Its products are designed for engineer-to-order (ETO) and project-based manufacturers with demands that are not addressed by traditional manufacturing systems. “Engineer-to-order companies need to be able to provide accurate cost estimates to customers, manage all aspects of complex projects, deliver on time and on budget—all while keeping a close eye on cash flow,” according to Enompix. It develops enterprise products that help manufacturers reduce costs and shorten cycle times, while maintaining finished product quality and providing data on the profitability of each project “in order to comprehend the impact on the business.”
